I needed to find a place of zen this weekend. An ‘island’ where my head could be clear and free to think about something that *popped* up online this past week.
In February, I made a trip to the French coastline for a photography workshop – more to come on the photography workshop and the talented person who led it in the coming weeks.
The sea was calm, the humidity was thick, and the sound of ship horns in the fog transported me to a place so far removed from the everyday noise that sometimes becomes clutter. Occassionally, people would walk along the otherwise deserted beach. Sisters playing chase, a couple walking arm in arm, a grandmother holding the hand of a little one.
I took myself back to the photos today, seeking the calm. I’m not sure I found it, but I certainly enjoyed revisiting the images.
PS – Don’t forget you can follow the visual journey around Paris and France on Facebook and the ‘Rue View’ project I launched back in November of 2012, images of Paris by arrondissement can be viewed here.
